The property was purchased in November 2022. The property started with an old, dilapidated barn and what turned out to be more than six 30-yard dumpsters worth of garbage, tires and an old truck trailer. Progress was slow at first as I learned on the job.

Progress slowed in 2024 as I learned why I had never wanted to be a developer. Getting the land ready to even begin talking to contractors was a challenge. Then, finding contractors for a project like this was an even bigger challenge.

Finally, I connected with David Chancellor of Chancellor Brothers, brother of former Flamingo, Liz Chancellor!

Finally, a break in the weather, so the dirt work kicked into high gear. But then the temperatures stayed so high, the sod I put in was in danger of dying. Field 1 was sodded and the parking lot finished and we had a playing surface! One down, three more to go.

Now, what I had only seen in my head, was now in the real world.
