America’s First and Only Four-Field Rugby Complex

Four Fields & The Future

Spring 2025

The property started with an old, dilapidated barn and what turned out to be more than six 30-yard dumpsters worth of garbage, tires and an old truck trailer. Progress was slow at first as we learned on the job.

Thanks to Andres Mata and Damon Boyce for helping me start crawling towards the final vision!

Progress slowed in 2024 as I learned why I had never wanted to be a developer. Finding competent contractors is a losing battle.

Finally, I landed with David Chancellor of Chancellor Brothers, father of former Flamingo, Liz Chancellor!

The rainiest spring I have ever endured happened in 2025 and made it impossible to stay on schedule with the dirt work. With games slated to start at the end of September, I was not hopeful.

Finally, a break in the weather, so the dirt work started in earnest. But then the temperatures stayed so high, the sod was in danger of dying. Field 1 was sodded and the parking lot finished.

Finally, other people can see what I always could.
